We invite you to the first seminar of the Centre for Legal Protection of Animals & Nature entitled Law or Animal Rights – remarks on the Sidelines of the History of Animal Protection in Poland, which will take place on May 16, 2024, at Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw. The starting point for the discussion will be the analysis of Bronisław Łoziński’s essay from 1895 entitled Animal Law. Cezary Błaszczyk will talk about Łoziński and his publication. Then, the participants will consider the typology of concepts related to the protection of animals or nature and try to answer the question of what “Animal Law” is (should be) in the 21st century.
